This truly is a magical mug, the glaze has to move in order to become translucent so its important to start with a larger mug allowing enough room for movement of the glaze, once it gets just hot enough to run then its a stunning piece.
I have several that the kiln did not get hot enough looks like a foggy morning, also very beautiful.

Please no heat cycle on the dishwasher, it causes crazing ( fine cracks) in the glaze, that often happen naturally over time.
This is my ideal version of this mug and the one that I will continue to create simply because it is tall enough with the right shape to have the room for the glaze to run but not off the mug.
